AEMI – ASSOCIATION OF EUROPEAN MIGRATION INSTITUTIONS

AEMI – Association of European Migration Institutions is an international network consisting of 40 organisations, museums, archives, universities and other institutions across Europe working with migration history and related literature. AEMI was established in Germany in 1991.

Every year, members of the network meet in different partner countries to discuss their projects and research and to provide a framework for sharing knowledge and exchanging experiences between migration institutions across national borders. Today, 20 European countries are represented in the network.

Since 2017, The Migration Museum of Denmark has held the chairmanship of AEMI and works to raise awareness of the network.
